Kim, Biking, Beef & Bottle, Panthers Game, Mollys

We had another busy but wonderful weekend!  Kim was in town from Dallas to meet her new nephew so I got to visit with her after work on Friday night at Village Tavern.  They have the best patio there and I loved catching up with her!

Saturday morning we ran some errands then came back and got our bikes tuned up to go riding.  We ended up riding probably about 7 miles with a stop for lunch at Lebowski's on East Boulevard.  It was simply a gorgeous day in Charlotte and we loved being outside.  We discovered some new neighborhoods and places that we hadn't seen before.

Saturday night we went to Beef and Bottle which is a Charlotte institution.  I highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.  The filet ranks right up there with the Ruth's Chris and Sullivans.  This is more like a hole in the wall spot.  Love it.

Check it out....definitely not a high class establishment but has outstanding food.

On Sunday I made pumpkin waffles (chocolate chip pumpkin for Kevin!) and we met some of our neighbors on the 10th floor common area for a lil tailgate before the Panthers game.

I was lucky enough to get some tickets from some guys at work and we loved our seats.  We had so much fun!

Later that evening we heard that it was Molly's last night.  The staff had just found out on Thursday night.  This place is right below where we live and where we go often so needless to say, we're SUPER sad it's closed.  We were their last patrons last night.  They were super sweet and we're going to keep in touch with our favorite servers to see where they end up.

And I'd like to send my Dad some get well wishes.  He accidently fell off a ladder while washing his car on Saturday.  One of his Doc friends says he broke a rib.  He's very sore.  Mama's taking excellent care of him though!  Feel better pops!

  2. I'm so jealous you got to go to the Panthers' game! I watched it on TV but wanted to be in Charlotte so badly. And I think riding bikes is always SO much fun!

  6. Beef & Bottle.....yummy. You're correct - that is a must when living in or visiting Charlotte. I'd rather go there than Ruth Chris or The Palm - and that is saying something! :-)
Get well wishes to your Father, hope he is feeling lots better soon! Have a great week! XOXO

  8. Fun weekend! I need to get air in my bike tires so I can use it more.

And I almost went to the Panthers/Saints game. ZTA does a lot with the NFL for Think Pink so I almost went up to hand out pink ribbons but decided against the 3 hour drive after seeing my work schedule.
