I agree with what a previous poster said about pavers. Some people in our neighborhood had pavers and just had to redo them all since they shifted / weeds started growing up / etc. So I think we are going with stamped concrete. It's better looking than the keep cool pool deck, but it's still cooler than other materials. I absolutely LOVE the look of the stone, but it's much more expensive and slippery, from what I've heard. We, too, are doing a rectangular pool - I think ours is 16 X 35. We don't have a huge yard, so this should suit us just fine. We are doing a tanning ledge and a swim out area / ledge in the "deep end" which will be 6 feet. Oh, and we're getting a salt water system. And two shooting water things (like mini fountains - but that's not what they're called - jets maybe?). Actually, tomorrow we're going to pick out the tile and all of that good stuff. This is such a fun (albeit pricey... :/) home improvement!roxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17262055982133436571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1709642354094596351.post-32386753483674038032016-05-19T16:26:26.776-04:002016-05-19T16:26:26.776-04:00They all look amazing! My daughter has a pool in CA with just regular cement and brick trim. It looks really nice and doesn't get as hot as she thought it would. We had the Baja step - that's what they call it out there and our dogs LOVED it and Mills will too! I don't know if you have salt water pools there but that's we had and it was almost no maintenance. Or you can get a pool boy, like my daughter...Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12645936332161234193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1709642354094596351.post-65011322437815034852016-05-18T14:45:35.148-04:002016-05-18T14:45:35.148-04:00We live in FL and have brick pavers around our poo...We live in FL and have brick pavers around our pool. They are a pain. Weeds grow up in between the cracks, a huge headache. Choose something that isn't too slippery when it gets wet or one that is too hot in the sun. Exact same pool and pool house, but then again, a lot of homes up there have the same look. MCWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05573175013345702775noreply@blogger.com
