College Care Package

One of my cousin's girls (my niece but technically my cousin) is in college this year and I wanted to send her a little treat! Here is what I picked up from Target to send to her in case you feel like sending someone a pick me up!

Baseball Weekend

I feel like I say every weekend is a baseball weekend and that's because it is. Grady had practice Friday night, game Saturday for his rec team and two games Sunday for his challenge team!

Kevin took Molly Anne to a friend's birthday party at Top Golf!

After the Saturday activities we went to Duckworths for wings, nachos and pumpkin beer on draft! These nachos are huge and delicious!

Then went over to our friend's house where obviously Grady had to get in their pool!

Sunday morning prep for the ball field. These containers are great except they don't go in the dishwasher and they don't fit in coolers so you can only put things that won't melt in it if you're going to be outside all day - aka baseball field, beach, boat.

Grady played his heart out. Lots of first base for his challenge team. He may have found his calling - he likes first! I was most proud of his sportsmanship and how he cheered on his teammates. He did have some awesome hits and good plays in the field though!

Molly Anne and I returned some stuff at Target then had to stop by Sephora. This is what we do - take pics and start a Christmas list!

Another baseball game tonight. Good times yall! At least he loves it!

Brown and Denim

ONE - saw this in the store. I loved the ribbed detail. Going on my 'would like' list!

TWO - this cashmere top comes in many colors but it's perfect in this color!

THREE - I was in the store and this dress caught my eye!

FOUR - wearing my fav tank all of the time!

FIVE - instantly makes whatever you have on an outfit - this jacket!

Menu Last Two Weeks

My kids and I have been doing Dr. Temple's plant point challenge over the last week or so. They LOVE competing against each other and with me. All friendly of course. You can follow Dr. Temple on Insta for more info - @dranamariatemple (she used to be MAs pediatrician when MA was a baby!

Here are some things I've made recently:

Burgers, squash/zucchini/asparagus seasoned with garlic powder/onion powder/paprika/thyme on the grill, red potatoes steamed in microwave then squished on a sheet pan and topped with cheddar and cooked in the oven for 15 min. Yes this was a Sunday night meal.

Beef with snow peas - I also added broccoli. My kids loved this and I did not add rice. PS - I made this whole dish on Sunday then reheated on Monday after field hockey. So easy and good. Your Monday self will thank your Sunday self.

Make your own pizza with this crust - this was for a night I was out of town. I made the crust and toppings on Sunday so Kevin would have an easy dinner to throw together.

Greek Chicken Bowls - prep it all on Sunday

Another Sunday meal - Steaks on the grill with salt/pepper/Worcestershire, and squash/zucchini and potato rounds in the air fryer.

Beanier and Creamier - an easy Mexican make ahead meal. Serve with fruit and a veggie.

Can y'all tell I'm a make ahead kind of cook these days with the kids having sports every night and/or me traveling?! Meal prep Sundays make my life so much easier. I clean and chop all veggies and most fruit on Sundays so that makes packing lunch way easier too.

Grady's Room Update

Well...we finally got Grady a dresser!

The before which was my Dad's Dads dresser, so sweet and cute. But didn't fit Grady's clothes depth wise!

We got him this one in color Seadrift. Same collection as his bed and side table but different color. I don't love matchy matchy, even this was a little matchy for me! But he loves it and so do I!

Baseball and Birthday

Lots of baseball this weekend. Friday evening he had a challenge scrimmage. Saturday all day we were out there for a rec game. He had some really great hits all weekend...triple, couple doubles and couple singles. It was fun to watch!

She dressed her American girl to be her twin. She isn't like totally obsessed with her AG dolls but randomly she will do something like this! I know it won't be lasting much longer so I let her bring a doll to the field ha!

Went to the club to celebrate our friend Andrew's birthday. It was a good time...about 14 adults and 100 children it felt like haha but I think it was 15.

Good times with friends!

We ended up hanging with our neighbors for football and grilling out yesterday afternoon. A pic through the glass of my buddy! It was a good time!

Five on Friday

ONE - doesn't everyone take a dragon to church? He was quiet and still and that's a good thing. His sister likes to move around and use 18 colors of markers at church. 

TWO - Site visit for work this week about an hour from our house. I like when I don't have to fly. Actually I was in Georgia and Alabama for a day this week looking at some retail buildings we may buy.

THREE - a good day when this Pottery Barn/Williams Sonoma truck is outside your house. Update coming soon!

FOUR - I think we are going to win an award for the longest home project known to man. The tile guy will have been over 7 times to tile a simple, small bathroom. Baffling!

FIVE - I've been back on the My Fitness Pal app train this week. I had to get right with what I was consuming because I didn't even realize how much I ate during the week! It's all mostly healthy but the quantity was less than desirable. Hmm!!

Thursday Looks

ONE - the crossbody for Fall. I'd probably take the strap on the bottom off.

My Closet Before and After

We recently had some cabinets made by Eudy's and I was able to slip in my closet. Check out the before, during and after. I'm so excited to have drawers now!

Grout Cleaner

I bought this stuff a long time ago and never took the time to do my little project. I had heard that this was the only thing that would get my grout white. And that was spot on. This is Molly Anne's bathroom floor, where Mills always slept. Also, never choose white grout for a floor mmmmkay!

Put a bunch on and I let it sit there for a good 30-60 minutes. Then came back and scrubbed with a toothbrush and it comes clean. I later got smarter and used a bigger brush and was able to cover more area quicker. here is the before...

I have a lot more to go but this was a good start! Look at that difference!

Baseball Opening Weekend

Grady's rec season started on Saturday morning after a month of lots of practice! He is also practicing for the challenge team he is on. It's been 5 days a week eek! But he LOVES it so I don't mind making it happen after work every day. This is his first time being a Miami Marlin and he's doing AMP which is advanced machine pitch.

Rewinding to Friday night - hung with Kellie and Hilary for lunch on Friday then we ended up in Hilary’s back yard for pizza with the whole crew for dinner.

Saturday evening we went to Pacos Tacos for dinner then over to the mall to walk around. Molly Anne really wanted to get some Fall clothes so we did a little of that. Grady was so proud to get a cool Southern Tide baseball shirt. It was sorta super cute! He tried it on and everything just like he had seen her do.

Sunday - church and meal prep and a little pool time!

Dollar Tree Dupes

Now I haven't used any of these so I cannot vouch for their effectiveness. But I can tell you that Molly Anne and I had fun checking all of the things out! We've been watching too many Dollar Tree Finds reels haha! We went to the Ocean Isle store over Labor Day Weekend and it's such a good store. Super clean and larger than most. 

Monday shampoo but they didn't have the conditioner.
